Zbigniew Pszczulny

Born in Toruń in 1953. After graduation from the Gdańsk University of Technology and working for four years at Miastoprojekt Toruń, in 1981, he took up work in the office of Professor Hentrich (HPP Hentrich Petschigg & Partner) in Düsseldorf, at that time one of the largest and most renowned German architecture offices. In 1987, together with three partners, he set up his own office, JSK Architekten in Düsseldorf, which he continues to run under the name Slapa Oberholz Pszczulny until this day. After the collapse of communism in Poland, in 1998, he founded JSK Architekci with Mariusz Rutz in Warsaw, which quickly expanded to include branches in Wrocław and Sopot. Zbigniew Pszczulny is chief designer of such significant structures as the Düsseldorf Airport Terminal Complex, the Terminal in Münster – Osnabrück, sports facilities such as the ESPRIT Arena in Düsseldorf, Orijn Office Buildings in Istanbul and many other public utility structures in Germany and elsewhere. Mr. Pszczulny has won many awards at international architecture contests and professional distinctions. He draws on his international and long-year experience in designing, in particular designing aviation and sports facilities, also in his work in Poland, which includes as designs as the airport terminals in Wrocław and in Gdańsk, or the Legia Stadium in Warsaw (the first arena to comply with UEFA standards) and, subsequently, the EURO 2012 stadium in Wrocław and the National Stadium in Warsaw. His track record also includes office developments such as Wiśniowy Gardens in Warsaw or Horizon Plaza. Zbigniew Pszczulny is member of the North Rhine-Westphalia Chamber of Architects and the Polish Chamber of Architects.
