Mr Piotr Grzybowski graduated from IX High School of C. K. Norwid in Częstochowa and from Faculty of Social Science – University of Wrocław.
Speciality: European Integration and Regional Policy.
During his studies, he held a CEEPUS scholarship at the Masaryk University in Brno.
He also accomplished postgraduate studies in project management at the Warsaw School of Economics and obtained the title of Accounting Specialist (independent accountant) corroborated by an examination of the Association of Accountants in Poland.
In 2007-2013, as an employee of the Technical University of Czestochowa, he prepared and implemented several projects aimed at increasing the participation of employers in the education of engineers. He actively participated in R&D projects, especially in the field of clean coal technologies and energy efficiency.
Since 2011, he acted as advisor for regional development and urban policy to the Mayor of City of Częstochowa. He was responsible for preparation of Regional Territorial Investment for the Northern Subregion of Silesian Voivodeship (which resulted in establishment of a sub-programme worth € 104 million), as well as for inclusion of three areas in Special Economic Zones.
After the enlargement of Katowice Special Economic Zone and Mielec Special Economic Zone in the City of Częstochowa, the Mayor of Częstochowa entrusted him function of Head of the City Hall’s Department of European Funds and Development. The Department includes not only units responsible for elaboration and implementation of projects, but also the Investor Assistance Centre, as well as entities for economic registry and licences and permits for alcohol trading and transport.
Chairman of the Association of Polish Cities' Committee on Regional Development.
Member of the Monitoring Committee of the Regional Operational Programme of Silesian Voivodeship 2014-2020.
Awarded the Golden Laurel of Skills and Competence 2015.
