Orbis Group, Accor

Joined the Orbis and Accor Group in early 2018 and is responsible for the development Accor hotels in Poland and the Baltic States. In Poland, Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania, there are currently 87 hotels operating under Accor’s brands and additional 25 hotels will open in the next two years.

 

He has been involved in hotel business for over 25 years. He started his career working for Rezidor at the opening of the Radisson Blu hotel in Szczecin. Over the next several years, he participated in the opening and management of the IHG and Vienna House hotels.

 

He is a graduate of the Faculty of Economics at the University of Szczecin and holds an MBA by the Gdańsk Foundation for Management Development with the participation of the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow. Fluent in English and Russian, he is passionate about marathons, triathlons and ironman races.

    In Poland, hotel chains account for about 20 per cent of all hotels. Domestic and foreign operators see an opportunity to expand their presence there. An economic gap, new directions, concepts going beyond the existing standards in the sphere of design or spatial arrangement, and also a combination of functions – for instance, with co-working: What kinds of projects stand the best chance of success? Which locations are attractive? Who is afraid, or how the growth in supply of new facilities will affect the performance of existing hotels.
