Louis Durand-Viel
VP Asset Management Northern Europe, Essendi
Louis Durand-Viel is VP Asset Management at Essendi (formerly AccorInvest), a leading hotel owner and operator in the economy and midscale segments in Europe. He joined the company in 2020, bringing today more than 15 years of international experience in hospitality real estate investment and asset management. He currently oversees the asset management for the group in Northern Europe, where he defines, proposes and implement the real estate strategy for a portfolio of approximately 300 hotels across 12 countries, with a total value exceeding €2 billion. In this role, Louis together with his teams manage the full lifecycle of hotel assets, ensuring the delivery of strong performance and the creation of long-term, sustainable value. His expertise spans real estate transactions, M&A, development, asset management, and portfolio optimization. Before joining Essendi, Louis worked at Orbis in Warsaw, Poland, where he contributed to the development and restructuring of the group’s portfolio in the CEE countries. He began his career with Accor, holding various positions in Dubai and Paris, in hotel development and real estate transactions. Louis graduated from Neoma Business School, ESB Reutlingen, and Audencia Business School.
